Founded in 1966 as a high-voltage contractor, Elmya evolved into a renewable energy expert, with a focus on designing, developing, building, and operating solar photovoltaic (PV), storage projects and green hydrogen.
Over the past 15 years, the company has connected more than 3 GW to the grid worldwide, furthermore, the company is currently developing over 6 GW of renewable projects across Europe, showcasing its significant experience and expertise in the field.

Head of North America
Colin Mott serves as Head of North America for Elmya Energy, where he leads the company’s growth and execution strategy across the region. With over 15 years of experience in renewable energy, he brings deep expertise in project development, interconnection strategy, and electric transmission. Colin has supported the development of more than 13GW of renewable energy projects and over $1B in assets to ready-to-build status. He is widely recognized for building high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives that position organizations for long-term success in the clean energy transition.

Carlos Piñar
Managing Director
Carlos Piñar Celestino is the Managing Director of Elmya, with over 13 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. Throughout his career, he has held key positions within the company, such as HR Director and Corporate Director, contributing to the creation and development of Elmya’s corporate areas. In 2019, he took on the role of General Director of Elmya Energy, leading the creation and expansion of the project development area within the company. Since April 2024, he has been the General Director of Elmya, with a mission to implement the company’s strategy while supporting the executives in both the corporate areas and Elmya Energy. Carlos holds a degree in Business Administration and Management and an Executive MBA (EMBA) from IESE Business School.

Chief Development Officer
Manuel Rodríguez Díaz is a global renewable energy leader with over 15 years of experience developing major wind, solar, and energy storage projects across six countries, including the United States. As Chief Development Officer at Elmya, Manuel drives the company’s growth in key markets, bringing deep expertise in market entry strategy, project development, and finance. His recent work includes delivering one of the largest solar projects built in the U.S. and a groundbreaking energy storage project in Texas—together representing nearly $1 billion in investment. He has played a key role in building multi-gigawatt portfolios and opening new markets at Ørsted, Statkraft, Gransolar, and Opdenergy.

Mak Nagle is a seasoned energy executive with over 20 years of proven leadership experience in renewable energy, utilities, and power markets. As a visionary strategist and team builder, Mak has spearheaded the development of over 10 GW of renewable projects spanning solar, energy storage, and grid integration. With his deep expertise in strategic planning, project origination, and execution, Mak continues to redefine success in the renewable energy sector by bringing complex projects to fruition while fostering sustainable growth. Mak excels at identifying growth opportunities, mitigating risks, and implementing forward-thinking strategies that drive organizational success. His ability to combine market insights with innovative solutions has resulted in significant project milestones and measurable business achievements.
